Indiana Child Custody - Laws For Making a Custody and Visitation Schedule

Article 17 of Title 31 in the Indiana Code contains the laws and guidelines about child custody. WIthin these statutes, the state has produced legislation that guides the entire custody process. Parents involved in a custody situation would do well to become familiar with these rules and to incorporate them into their parenting plans and custody schedules. Many of the specific laws have been made with the custody and visitation in mind. These laws are in place to ensure that parents create a schedule that benefits the child and continues to provide for the care of the child.
